Full Tilt Bot Lawsuit

Recent news of a pending lawsuit against Full Tilt Poker by two of their former players has sent the poker world into a frenzy this week following the release of the news.  According to a report from gossip site TMZ, two players, Lary Kennedy and Greg Omotoy are behind the lawsuit which alleges that Full Tilt confiscated over $80,000 from their accounts unjustly while they were playing on the site.  Full Tilt claims that both were using poker bots to facilitate their winnings (something which is against Full Tilt's terms) and therefore is justified in confiscating the funds from the account.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the lawsuit is not the confiscation of the funds but another allegation made by the complainants that Full Tilt uses bots of their own on the site and therefore changes the poker at Full Tilt from a game of skill to a game of luck, something which is prohibited by law in California where the suit was filed.

Our best guess is that this is hogwash and is most likely a tactic by the plaintiffs to put additional pressure on Full Tilt to settle and make the lawsuit quietly go away.  You can be certain that now that the stories out in the public many from the poker community will be following the story to see if there is any merit to the claim that Full Tilt uses bots to keep action going in their games, something that many poker sceptics would surely buy into.  Nonetheless, it will definitely be interesting to see how the lawsuit proceeds considering that Full Tilt Poker is licensed and regulated in Khanawake, an Indian reserve on an island located just outside of Montréal, Canada.

Perhaps if anything the case will shed some light on the secret world of poker bots which many believe have invaded and corrupted the games on many of the world's most popular poker rooms.  Over the past few years there have been a ton of incidences of bot use on a number of sites and you can be sure that people are working daily to create the next winning bot that slips under the radar and crushes the bankrolls of un-suspecting fish.  In any case, we'll keep you posted on the Full Tilt case as the details roll in and if you want to see the bots for yourself you should know that we offer a $600 free bonus at the site with Full Tilt Poker Referral Code "HREVIEW".
