Face The Ace Faces $85 Million In Lawsuits

According to popular gossip site TMZ, a less than popular poker show known as Face The Ace is currently facing some trouble when it was announced this week that the shows production company (Poker Productions) is facing an $85 Million civil lawsuit.

The lawsuit comes from a man named Brandon McSmith who claims to have come up with the original concept for the show.  The story goes that Brandon pitched the idea to Poker Productions but they rejected the concept; only to use the idea a few years down the road to pitch to NBC.  Well that is a scumbag tactic, we're not sure where the $85 Million in damages comes from since the show has received little viewer attention.

For those of you who are curious, the premise of Face The Ace is as follows:  One no name poker players gets the chance to select one of three hidden doors behind each of which there is a known poker pro.  Whomever they pick they must face in a heads up match and they must win to move on to another opponent.  If the no-name is successful in beating all of the pros they will win a grand prize of $1 Million in cash.

Our guess - the lawsuits going nowhere but it makes for great news when someone sues a company for probably 10,000 times what they should!  If you want to see what the show looks like for yourself, check out the embedded video clip we've posted below.
